![]() This is a great dish washer for so many different reasons. I would recommend the Kenmore Elite Built-In Dishwasher to anyone that doesn't mind long washing cycles. The other cycles do a great job of cleaning, but the long washing time bothers me. Initially I thought it was the way I positioned the objects, but this only seems to happen on the normal wash cycle. Oddly enough I can wipe away the residue fairly easily with a dish cloth. When I remove my wares from the dishwasher after a full cycle there is still debris on them. The normal wash cycle doesn't do a good job of cleaning harden food particles from my dishes and silverware. This isn't a major deal for me if I have time to monitor the dishwasher from time to time during the washing cycle, but I don't feel comfortable turning it on and leaving the roomįor extended periods of time. There are several wash cycles offered on the top of the door, but sadly most of them take well over 2 hours. This dishwasher has a modern look that fits in with my other kitchen appliances, but some of its features leave more to be desired. I normally wash dishes by hand, but when I'm feeling lazy I use the Kenmore Elite Built-In Dishwasher. The dishwasher is 5 years old and still going strong! The only flaw I have seen is the finger prints that you may see on the outside since it is stainless steel! ![]() It cleans greasy items but still you need to scrape dishes well and not leave hunks of food on the plates ![]() It cleans well unless you put the dishes too close on top of one another then it might miss a spot or two. The best setting is the long setting for the best wash and using the top brand dish washer powder in the machine. The washer loads well and can hold a lot of dishes in the trays and racks, but it's best to not overload the washer as it could miss a few spots, no matter how good a dishwasher is! The cleaning time is satisfactory and only takes about an hour from start to finish with drying time. It does have a slight swishing sound as the water sprays inside the washer but other than that it is pretty quiet. The dish washer runs pretty quiet, and the only noise I have heard was when it was filling and emptying into the drain connected under the sink. Cleans dishes well and you don't need to do a lot of pre washing the dishes. ![]() And since every spy needs a touch of elegance, this Elite’s upper rack has a pair of stemware holders.A nice sized dishwasher for small spaces, as it's only 24 inches wide. All the little adjustable bits mentioned earlier make it easier to load the non-standard stuff, so bring on your novelty plates and champagne flutes. ![]() However, as rough as it was, it felt sturdy and stable as it moved along its track.Ĭapacity matters, and the 14753 held 11 of our standardized place settings and a serving setting-which is about average. The upper rack did not glide very smoothly when we pulled it out. Given the 14753’s extremely flexible three-piece cutlery basket, its height adjustment mechanism on the upper rack, and its foldable tines, we were mostly satisfied with how this Elite felt in our hands. If that was ever in question, the proudly displayed Elite badge hints at this dishwasher’s strong pedigree.Īnd it proved functional, too. Stainless steel inside and out, the thick, protruding handlebar gently curves outward, while the red trim on all the interior water jets show that this machine is ready for action. Regardless of which actor plays James Bond, he has to be handsome-and the 14753 is, similarly, quite the looker. ![]()
